Who Gets Acne Pimples?

by Valerie DeVette

Just in the United States, 60 million Americans have acne, so it is a condition many people have had to learn to live with. As a matter of fact, some people have become experts on acne because they are so used to it, knowing exactly what to do when a break out will appear. They have become professionals on treatments that get rid of acne since they have used most of them in order to find the best one for them. The thing is that at some point, everyone gets acne, for one reason or another, even if it is an unusual break out

The sebaceous glands produce oil to lubricate and also protect the skin, but if the oil cannot reach the surface because the skin openings are blocked by the cells that surround it, then acne can develop. Because the oil gets concentrated under the surface of the skin, bacteria come to the area to feast on it, creating an inflammation. When the inflammation is near the surface, a postule is formed. If it goes deeper, then you get a papule or pimple. And a cyst is formed when it is even deeper. When the cells die and are accumulated, they become pus. Whiteheads are the result of the pus reaching the surface. Still, if the puss gets oxidized, then its color turns black and it results in a black head.

Most people during their teenage years get acne. The hormonal changes that they go through stimulates an over production of the sebaceous glands, which creates an over production of oil, getting facial acne the majority of the time as a result. If a treatment is not followed to help it, acne gets worse. If you have got acne, then it is very important that you consult a dermatologist or that you find a good product to keep it under control.

Who Gets Pimples besides Teenagers?

People who suffer from dry skin can also be affected by acne, unlike most people think. People with dry skin are vulnerable to their skin cracking, which leaves it exposed to bacteria, leading to possible breakouts. Another factor that can lead to acne, although only if the person does not cleanse his/her skin well, is pollution. Pollutants that float in the air cannot get into our bodies thanks to the skin, but they block the skin pores, causing oil accumulation underneath the skin, which forms pimples.

It is not so unusual for adults to get acne, either. Statistics say that 25% of male adults and 50% of female adults get acne breakouts in their adult life. This can be triggered by many factors, such as stress, a reaction to make up, a hormonal change, etc. Given the fact that anyone can get breakouts, being informed about acne skin care is very important to keep our skin healthy.

There is no acne breakouts treatment that has been proven to control all the factors that can trigger the production of acne breakouts. However, the best pimple and acne scar treatment is BIOSKINCARE, an all organic treatment that has no side effects and keeps your skin's natural balance while keeping acne at bay.
