Adult Acne Skin Care: Knowing how to treat your Skin Problems

by Grace Empson

Acne is most easily associated to teenagers or young adults. However, sometimes teenage acne sticks around well into adulthood. This is called adult acne and is just as common as teenage acne.

Several different factors cause both teen and adult acne. The most common known factors involve certain medication, hormonal fluctuations, and the faulty closing of the pores. It is safe to say that poor hygiene has nothing to do with acne.

Common adult acne is usually caused by hormonal fluctuations making it sporadic. However, some people can suffer from severe acne for most of their lives. The right acne treatment will depend on what type of acne you have.

Acne Remedy to treat Adult Acne

Adult acne skin care may be daunting for some people because of the wide range of products that are available on the market today. Most acne products are generally geared towards adolescents, but rest assured that they can also be used to treat adult skin.

First off, you must have the appropriate acne skin care routine. Older skin is thinner than young skin and is, therefore more likely to get damaged when using the inappropriate products.

You should continue to cleanse twice a day and exfoliate at least twice a week. The cleanser that you use should be appropriate for your skin type. Try avoiding products with alcohol or fragrance because they can irritate your skin.

After rinsing your face thoroughly, apply a toner and follow up with a moisturizer. Spot treat your blemishes and pimples with a good acne cream. For some people, this cleansing routine is enough to keep their skin acne free.

However, in certain cases you may need a topical cream or oral medication to help treat your adult acne problems. Products containing benzoyl peroxide are a mainstay in acne treatments. Make sure that the product you choose is non comedogenic and oil-free.

Products containing retinoic acid have been one of the biggest breakthroughs in acne treatments in years. Retinoic acid does have a down side, which is that it may cause some irritation. This problem isn't of great concern because slow release formulas can easily solve it.

Other common types of acne treatments include:

*creams made with azalaic acid

*products that contain alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) that also include glycolic acid and lactic acid

*birth control pills

*DHT inhibitors

*antibiotics; this should be determined by your doctor.

*Accutane: this product requires medical supervision.

Finding an adult acne treatment does not have to be a difficult task. BIOSKINCLEAR and BIOSKINFORTE are natural products that can help clear acne naturally and safely. This is all due to a unique natural formula that contains snail serum. However, if you are looking for an effective acne scars treatment cream, try BIOSKINCARE.
