How to Obtain Baby-Soft Skin Again

by Julie Greenmayer

Have you ever felt the beautiful, soft skin of a newborn? It is wonderful to experience something so perfect and blemish free. With the passing of time, our skin gets hit with so many environmental factors and stress, forcing our skin to lose the perfect replenishment system that we had when we were young. Luckily, our skin has a wonderful system to rejuvenate itself and keep itself youthful longer. When we are young, approximately every 15-20 days our skin renews itself. The surface layers fall off, leaving the unexposed lower layer, which becomes the new upper layer, stays for a several weeks, and then it happens all over again. This explains how children can play in the mud, dirt, and be exposed to the elements all day, every day, and still have great skin! Children don't usually get spa treatments, use moisturizer or anything like that, and yet their skin does a great job of protecting them and keeping itself soft.

If our skin was made to renew itself so frequently, what happens to it as we become adults? Have you ever noticed the difference between your grandfather's skin and a newborn's skin? Most older people have skin that is rough, thick, and many times with discolored skin or fine lines. Why does our skin get like this?

As we get older, the rate of auto-renewal of our skin tends to slow down. Instead of getting rid of the dead skin cells, they start collecting on the surface of the skin, causing the layers to get thicker and rougher. This means that all those blemishes, age spots and other things don't get sloughed off. To top it all off, we lose approximately 10% of our epidermal cells per decade, reducing our ability to make more healthy layers of skin. Plus, often, not as much moisture gets to the top layer of the skin, bringing about the wrinkles, fine lines, and sagging skin we see in our beloved grandparents and older individuals.

Wouldn't you love it if we could go back to that same great system of skin rejuvenation we had when we were children? I would imagine that that is what all of us would want, but the question is, how do we do that? If the problem is that our skin is collecting dead skin cells, the only way to solve this problem is to help the skin to shed these unnecessary cells and uncover the soft layer below. This way, we can also help more moisture to rise to the top layer of the skin, lessening fine lines and wrinkles.

Reversing the Process of Aging Skin

A effective way to help our skin rebuild itself is a 100% natural ingredient which speed skin cell renewal and help slough off the dead skin cells which are blocking your pores. Be a smart shopper, however, and make sure you choose a cream that both gets rid of the dead cells and helps your body to create new ones. One thing to look for is that the face cream is 100% natural, and doesn't include harsh chemicals. If you follow these guidelines and use products like this, your face will soon start to look younger and more radiant than ever!

If you have felt a newborn's skin recently, you know how soft and moisturized it is. That is the same skin you were born with! Learn how to turn back the clock and get rid of your fine lines and wrinkles once and for all with this aging cream that can repair damaged skin.
